Course Description
This course is a complete introduction to lighting in computer graphics (CG) for beginners. The course focuses on the theory and basic principles of lighting. After covering the core fundamentals of lighting in, the course will continue by moving onto lighting in computer graphics and teaching how to implement the theory in a digital content creation package. To demonstrate lighting principles in CG, we’ll be using Maya 2018 and Arnold. Arnold has been used for years in the film and visualization industries, and will serve as a great tool for learning CG lighting. By the end of the course, students will have been exposed to basic lighting theory, principles, and skills that are valuable to all aspiring CG lighting artists.
